David Capretto to Participate in 100-Mile Bike Ride for Missing Children

Missing Children Bike RideUpdate: June 4, 2019

David completed all 100 miles as top fundraiser with a total of $3,560. Along with team member, Alex Miller, the Forbes Capretto Team was also top fundraising team with a total of $5,411!!

Thank you SO much for all of your support!

In 1995, seven men hopped on bicycles and rode from New York to Washington to convey a message about missing children. Along the way, they educated many about the importance of child safety. Now, in 2019, over 900 participants hop onto bicycles and take the 100-mile journey to continue the work of these seven men!

Forbes Capretto Homes President David Capretto is one of the participants in the 13th Annual Ride for Missing Children in Buffalo. Each rider vows to raise a minimum of $300 to help the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in its mission to aid in recovering missing children, as well as raising public awareness about ways to help prevent child abduction. Each rider also wears a pin of a missing child that they are taking this ride for.

Biking 100 miles in one day is not an easy task, but these riders are committed to this cause and determined to help educate each individual one-by-one in hopes of decreasing the amount of abduction, abuse and exploitation of children. If you would like to support David in his mission, please follow this link to his fundraising page. He is so close to his goal of raising $2,500 for this incredible cause and would appreciate your support!

As Chairman of the Buffalo branch for NCMEC, David works constantly to ensure that his community is made aware and educated about child abduction prevention and internet safety. In 2018 alone, there were 424,066 reports of missing children, a number that NCMEC is constantly working to lower. NCMEC has helped recover more than 260,000 missing children and the number continues to grow every single day. We are very fortunate to have a person like David Capretto, the President of Forbes Capretto Homes, as the Chair of the NCMEC Buffalo Branch, where he continues to advocate for such an incredible organization.
